Man Smearing Feces During Flight Gets Plane Diverted To Alaska

A United Airlines flight that took off from Chicago to Hong Kong was diverted to Alaska because a man vandalized the aircraft toilets with his faeces.

A United Airlines flight departing from O’Hare Airport in Chicago bound for Hong Kong was diverted to Alaska after a passenger vandalized two bathrooms of the aircraft.

On Thursday afternoon, flight 895 was diverted to Ted Stevens International Airport in Anchorage, Alaska , according to an airport police spokesman.

The flight was forced to land after a man scattered human excrement in two of the plane’s toilets . The man also tried to wash the shirt he was wearing and then tried to get rid of it by one of the toilets.

Authorities reported that the passenger cooperated with the flight crew and was seated when the shuttle landed in Anchorage.

According to FlightAware.com, the plane arrived in the city around 6:20 p.m.

The passenger, whose name has not been disclosed, was taken to a local hospital for a psychological evaluation. At the moment, no charges have been filed.

The plane, a Boeing 777, was subjected to maintenance during the night.

An airline spokesman reported that the 245 passengers aboard the flight received hotel accommodations and took off on Friday to their destination.
