Moncton Fisher Cats eliminate Islanders in NBSBL quarter-final

The Moncton Fisher Cats defeated the Fredericton Royals on Wednesday night to win the New Brunswick Senior Baseball Championship title.

They will represent the province at the next Canadian Senior Baseball Championship in August 2018.

The game between the Fredericton Royals and the Moncton Fisher Cats ended in a 2-1 record. This win gave Moncton a fourth and final point to win the final series.

Fredericton led the game 1-0 for the first four rounds, but a poor fifth relay allowed the Fisher Cats to push two players to the plate.

The match ended as well.
